Birds, Habitats, Kids, and YOU
Protect and inspire in 2026
Join Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance for The Big Share, a statewide day of online giving supporting more than 80 Community Shares of Wisconsin nonprofits working for social and environmental justice.
In 2025, your generosity helped protect birds and connect people to nature. In 2026, we’re ready to do even more.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 in one day to protect birds and habitat in southern Wisconsin and beyond.
Every gift matters. Whether you give $5 or $1,000, your donation helps conserve habitat, inspire future bird lovers, and ensure that everyone can enjoy birds and the outdoors.
Why Give to Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance?
Your support helps us:
Protect birds and native habitat across southern Wisconsin
Restore and steward nearly 3,000 acres of land for wildlife and people
Inspire people of all ages to understand and protect nature through education and community programs
Ensure equitable access to nature and outdoor experiences
From winter owls and cardinals to the return of migrating birds each spring, your gift makes these moments possible.
Make Your Gift Go Further on March 3
Timing your donation can help unlock extra funding and prizes for birds:
6:00–7:00 am: Early Bird Power Hour
Donate during this hour to help us win $1,000 in prize money for having the highest number of donations. We’ve won this prize many years in a row and hope to do it again in 2026!
7:45 am: Match Minute
Donate during this exact minute, and your gift will be matched 1:1 by outside sponsors.
3:30 pm: Match Minute
Donate during this exact minute, and your gift will be matched 1:1 again.
11:59 pm: Last Donation Challenge
Be the very last donor of the night, and Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance could win an extra $750 for bird conservation.
We value our members and supporters every day of the year, with or without a dedicated day of giving. Thank you for all of the many ways you help birds and nature!
