Fall Warbler Identification

Fall is an amazing time to see warblers passing through Southern Wisconsin on their way to their tropical wintering grounds. Although they won't be singing or sporting their spring breeding plumages, finding them in fall is just as exciting as in the spring! In fact, their variable fall plumages make identifying them extra fun. This online class will teach you where and how to look for warblers this fall and how to ID them.
Dates/times (your registration includes both components):
Online class: Wednesday, September 12, 6:00-7:30pm CT on Zoom
Field trip: Saturday, September 12, 9:00-10:30am CT in the Madison area (location TBD)
WHEELCHAIR USE for Field Trip: Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance (SoWBA) has one electric-powered wheelchair available for anyone to use for free. You can learn more about it here, and request it in the form when you register.
Or, if you want to use a more rugged, all-terrain, outdoor wheelchair for this field trip, Access Ability Wisconsin offers them for free! To reserve a chair and trailer, visit their website.

Megan Heneke is an avid birder and eBirder. She's involved in Madison's chapter of the Feminist Bird Club which plans inclusive monthly events for birders of all skill levels. She enjoys continuing to build her skills and sharing what she's learned with others. Her favorite bird is the Scarlet Tanager.
