When you think of conservation work, restoring habitats, or surveying wildlife, or conducting prescribed burns might immediately come to mind. But what about the work that’s a bit less dazzling? One important effort is cleaning up roadside garbage—much of which is completely preventable.

Another EIGHTY ACRES are now permanently protected at Faville Grove Sanctuary!

It’s official: As of October 17, 2023, Badgerland Bird Alliance is the proud new owner of 80 acres of land adjacent to the marsh at Faville Grove Sanctuary near Lake Mills.

Hope is the thing with fur

That's part of our job as Madison Audubon staff, volunteers, members, and friends. We have to hope and act on the hope that we can preserve, protect, and strengthen much of our natural world.  

The natural world shares that hope. Think of what our bird friends are up to these days. What's more hopeful than nesting?
