Madison Audubon Society has some of the largest restored prairies in Wisconsin. Our Goose Pond Sanctuary, located near Arlington, is a major part of Madison Audubon's restoration efforts...but our restoration work is only possible with the help of volunteers!
Volunteers are needed to help collect prairie seed. Native seed collection saves the genetics of plants that thrive in our local ecosystem, and are then used to restore other areas.
No experience is needed, and families are welcome! Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes. Volunteers will meet at the lower barn at the Kampen Road residence.

*NOTE: this is a recurring opportunity throughout the fall season: The Goose Pond team welcomes volunteers on all Fridays and Saturdays beginning September 16/17 - October 28/29. Seed collecting will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
