Learning the Ropes of eBird: Getting comfortable with using the birding smartphone app
Sorry, this class is sold out
eBird can be a phenomenal resource, and sometimes a necessary tool, for birders. This workshop will focus on getting you comfortable using the eBird app on your smartphone so you can spend less time in the field tinkering on the tool and more time with your eyes in your binoculars.
The first part of this class will be indoors, while Kyle shows you the basics of eBird on your own smartphone. You must have eBird downloaded and set up on your smartphone before class begins. Then, we'll put your new-found knowledge to good use by practicing across the street at Pheasant Branch Conservancy. Finally, we will wrap up back at Common Ground coffee shop to go over questions that arose during the field session.
