We invite past participants of the Birding by Ear classes hosted by Madison Audubon and the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired to join us on this meet-up!
Train yourself to listen for the birds rather than looking for them! Birding by Ear is a great way to practice your skills at bird ID using a totally different sense. Join leader Kerry Wilcox (volunteer and teacher of last spring’s Birding by Ear class) for a trip to Picnic Point, where you will walk the wide, flat paths and learn tools, tips, and techniques for birding by ear.
Leave the binoculars at home, and come prepared to use your ears rather than your eyes! This event is hosted in partnership with the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Registration is free but is required, capped at 12 people, and limited to folks who have participated in one of Madison Audubon/WCBVI’s Birding by Ear classes. Register using the form below or by calling 608-513-0630.
