Celebrate Bat Week in Madison with some popcorn and a movie that will inspire you! The Invisible Mammal is a feature length documentary about bat conservation and women in science, The Invisible Mammal follows an all-woman team of biologists who set out to save bats from a deadly fungal disease. When the COVID-19 pandemic interrupts their work, they are sent down a path of discovery that illuminates the connections between bat conservation and the spread of infectious disease.

Access: The film will be shown in the UW-Madison Union South movie theater, Marquee Cinema. Parking is available under Union South in Lot 80, on nearby streets, or in Lot 17 next to Engineering (go to this map and check the Public Parking box on the left to see how many spots are available in each lot - it updates in real time). The Marquee Cinema is located on the second floor of Union South. This site is ADA-accessible, with ramps and elevators to enter the building and theater.

This event is happening during Bat Week, an international celebration of bats and their importance. The Madison-based events are hosted by Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance and UW Bat Brigade.
