Wisconsin Environmental Advocacy Coalition

Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance, along with other organizations, created the Wisconsin Environmental Advocacy Coalition in 2024 in order to foster more collaboration on conservation-related issues. The Coalition meets regularly to discuss current issues that face Wisconsin’s biodiversity, landscapes and environment, and what we can do to advocate to raise awareness for these issues.

The Coalition aims to work together to advocate for the protection of Wisconsin’s natural environment. We’ve tackled a variety of different issues, ranging from lead ammunition to the proposed crane hunt. You can read more about some of these issues and the actions you can take to support advocacy in the links below!

Partner organizations

The coalition is comprised of different organizations that are either based in Wisconsin or have a local chapter in our state. We are always looking to include as many different voices as possible! Current partners:

We’re always wanting to hear from new organizations! If your organization would like to be involved in the coalition, please email Brenna Marsicek at bmarsicek@swibirds.org.
