Come in search of fall colors as we hike in this TNC State Natural Area. With maples, birches, hickories, oaks and other trees in various stages of autumn hews, the views of this mixed conifer, deciduous forest may be delightful. The fall migration could include thrushes, flycatchers, sparrows and hawks. The resident woodpeckers, finches, nuthatches, cardinals, maybe calling. Part of the trip maybe off trail. Bring water, a snack to eat during the hike, if you want, and appropriate footwear for rugged terrain.
Meet at the gravel parking across from Sprecher’s Bar (E7513 Co Rd C, North Freedom, WI 53951) at 8:15 am, or carpool at 7:45 am at the Parmenter St. Park & Ride in Middleton.
