July's Birding by Ear Meet-up (FULL)

  • Turville Point Conservation Park 1202 Olin-Turville Court Madison, WI, 53715 United States (map)

We’re sorry, this event is now full. Please scroll down to sign up on the waiting list!

Train yourself to listen for the birds rather than looking for them! Birding by Ear is a great way to practice your skills at bird ID using a totally different sense. Join leader Kerry Wilcox (volunteer and teacher of last spring’s Birding by Ear class) for a trip to Turville Point Conservation Park, where you will walk the paths through the woods and prairie, and learn tools, tips, and techniques for birding by ear.

Leave the binoculars at home, and come prepared to use your ears rather than your eyes! This event is hosted in partnership with the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

We will meet at the Capital City Trailhead parking area, the southern most parking lot on Olin-Turville Court (map here).

Registration is free but is required and capped at 10 people. Register using the form below or by calling 608-255-2473.
