October's Birding by Ear Meet-up

Train yourself to listen for the birds rather than looking for them! Birding by Ear is a great way to practice new or honing your skills at bird ID using a totally different sense. Join leader Abe Lenoch (volunteer and assistant with last spring’s Birding by Ear class) for a trip to Turville Point Conservation Park, where you will walk the wide, flat paths and learn tools, tips, and techniques for birding by ear.

Leave the binoculars at home, and come prepared to use your ears rather than your eyes! This event is hosted in partnership with the Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired, and is open to all birders of all abilities.

Registration is free but is required, and capped at 20 people. Please RSVP to Brenna at bmarsicek@madisonaudubon.org or 608-255-2473.
