The Big Share 2021

Birds, Habitats, Kids, and YOU

Protect and inspire in 2021

Join us for a day of giving back! The Big Share is a day of online giving for 70 member organizations of Community Shares of Wisconsin, all focused on social and environmental justice. Madison Audubon is honored to be one of them!

We helped birds AND people in 2020! Madison Audubon has provided programs, inspiration, and land for exploring throughout the past year and we need to increase our impact in the year to come.

That's why our goal is to raise at least $7,500 and bring in at least 40 new supporters through this year's Big Share.

There are THREE main ways you can help support birds on March 2:

  1. Make a donation to madisonaudubon.org/bigshare — especially between 6am-7am, when if we get the highest number of donations no matter their amounts, we win a $750 cash prize!

  2. Share about it on social media. We have sample posts and images ready for you at madisonaudubon.org/tbs-toolkit. We’d love for your bird- and nature-loving friends to join us!

  3. Create a Facebook Fundraiser to encourage your friends to make a donation, lickity-split, on the Facebook platform. It’s already easy, but we’ve made it easier by giving you instructions, sample photos, and sample text to use at madisonaudubon.org/tbs-toolkit.

Madison is emerging from a long, cold winter that followed a difficult year for many. But migrating birds are returning to southern Wisconsin and spring is on the way. Madison Audubon is prepared to share the wonders of birds with new audiences through virtual (and, when possible, in-person) programming, secure and manage land for birds, butterflies and other wildlife, and increase our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to ensure that everyone can enjoy and access the outdoors and its amazing birds.

You can make a BIG difference for birds, kids, and habitats on The Big Share by donating to Madison Audubon. No matter what the amount, $1 or $1,000, your donation is important and valuable! For ways to make an even BIGGER impact, tune in for these special activities on March 2:

  • 6-7 am Power Hour — donate during this hour, no matter how big or small the donation is, and help us earn extra cash prizes for having the highest number of donations!

  • A series of Facebook Live videos that introduce you to our staff, their work, and why it matters for birds and conservation.

We value our members and supporters every day of the year, with or without a dedicated day of giving. Thank you for being involved and passionate about birds and nature!
