Registration is open to all!
Monarchs make a huge migration each year, from Wisconsin (and even further north) all the way down to their winter grounds in Mexico. It is an incredible journey, and one that scientists are still studying. This monarch tagging event, one of the most celebrated activities Madison Audubon hosts each year, will teach you about the amazing monarch life history, migration, and conservation needs. We will teach you how to safely catch, handle, tag, and release a monarch, all in the name of science and love of nature.
Monarch tagging is done in partnership with Monarch Watch.

DETAILS:
Registration IS REQUIRED and gets you access to one session of activities, including information about monarch life history, monarch pursuit and tagging, information on how to track your monarchs, and ideas for how to support monarchs at home.
There are multiple sessions for monarch tagging. Please be sure to attend the one you register for.
Children are welcome to come with an adult - we love having kids participate!
Please limit your ticket purchase to 6, to allow others to get in on the fun as well.

COVID-19 NOTES:
We follow the CDC guidelines in place at the time of the field trip.
All of our field trip leaders are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
We strongly encourage all participants to be fully vaccinated.
Children are welcome to attend, and required to wear masks when appropriate.
