Birds of Goose Pond
Goose Pond Sanctuary has been an incredible bird-watching area for decades, even before it came under the protection of Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance (SoWBA), formerly Madison Audubon, as a sanctuary in 1969. The pond, wetland scrapes, and surrounding prairies provide essential and diverse habitats for a variety of waterfowl, shorebirds, grassland birds, migrants, and raptors. Goose Pond Sanctuary is a designated Great Wisconsin Birding & Nature Trail, Important Bird Area, and Wisconsin State Natural Area.
Below is a collection of some of the bird-related resources for you to enjoy.
