Volunteers like you make Goose Pond Sanctuary the wonderful, vibrant, life-supporting sanctuary that it is! So many people come together to study birds, survey for insects, collect seeds, plant prairies, band birds, tag monarchs, and much much more. As a way for us to say thank you, please join us for a picnic on Friday, June 28, 5:30-7:30. The meal will be provided by Southern Wisconsin Bird Alliance. If you wish, come early to go on a hike or wagon tour of the surrounding prairies.
As a special part of this event, we will be honoring Peter Leege for his extraordinary efforts and contributions to maintaining the Goose Pond Webcam. Peter has spent hundreds of hours volunteering in this capacity.
Agenda for the event:
4:00 PM — Optional tours begin
5:30 PM — Socializing and eating
6:00 PM — Comments and thank yous made by Goose Pond and SoWBA staff
7:30 PM — Wrap up and departure
This event is for Goose Pond volunteers and not open to the general public. Invitees are welcome to bring a spouse, partner, or friend to the event. Thank you for your understanding!
