Hundreds of chimney swifts use the brick chimney at Cherokee Heights Middle School for their nightly roost. "A Swift Night Out" is a continent-wide effort to raise awareness about chimney swifts and their need for roosting habitat. Bring a lawn chair and binoculars to observe and count swifts as they gather at communal roosts before fall migration to South America.
RAIN DATE: Sunday, Sept. 2, same time and place. If the rain date is rained out, we'll reschedule for another day, likely the following weekend!

Note: Swifts have been known to change their preference for chimneys, so please check back for location changes.
