Pleasant Valley Conservancy State Natural Area is a 140 acre natural area in western Dane County near the town of Vermont. The property contains prairie remnants, wetlands, and extensive oak savannas and has been under intensive management for the past 20 years. Hiking will be partly across steep bluffs, and long pants with sturdy hiking shoes are recommended. At the end of the three-hour trip, light refreshments will be served at the small cabin on site.
