CANCELED: Annual Meeting & Snowy Owl Program

  • Middleton Public Library 7425 Hubbard Avenue Middleton, WI, 53562 United States (map)

We’re sorry, this event has been cancelled to avoid the spread of coronavirus and other dangerous diseases. We hope to reschedule this presentation for a later date, so stay tuned!

Join us for a special Evenings with Audubon event, featuring a social time beginning at 6:00pm, followed by updates and short question and answer sessions by Madison Audubon staff, and culminating in a wonderful presentation by David Brinker of Project SNOWstorm, an organization focused on conserving snowy owls. It’ll be a fun, informative, and fascinating evening! Refreshments and light appetizers provided.

About the Speaker: David Brinker

Originally from Wisconsin, Dave — a founding co-director of Project SNOWstorm — is a regional ecologist in the Maryland Department of Natural Resources’ Natural Heritage Program, where he focuses on biodiversity conservation.  In 1994 he founded Project Owlet, a continental network of migrant northern saw-whet owl banding stations.  He also directs the Central Appalachian Goshawk Project, and is a co-founder of the Northeast Motus Collaboration, which uses nanotag technology and automated receiver stations to track the movements of small birds, bats and insects.
