We’re sorry, this field trip is cancelled due to weather.
Join us for an evening stroll that is filled with the evening sounds of nature. Frogs, toads, and evening-active birds are calling heartily this time of year, and because each species has their own unique sound, we can identify which species are present even without seeing them. This field trip is led by University of Wisconsin-Madison's wildlife ecology faculty Jim Berkelman, who will share natural history information about the area, plants and animals sharing habitat, and the ecology of the bird and amphibian species we hear.
Bring waterproof footwear and a flashlight or headlamp to maximize your safety and enjoyment during this trip.
